Howard C. Beauchamp dead

Howard C. Beauchamp, a native of Baldwinsville, is dead at his home in Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. Beauchamp, a graduate of Cornell university, had been engaged in newspaper work for many years. He was editor of two or three publications in the South. Although the arrangements for the funeral have not been completed, it is quite probable that the body will be brought here for burial.

Editor and publisher of Fayetteville Recorder, educated in Baldwinsville public schools and academy (graduated 1884), he graduated from Cornell in 1888 as a B.L. with distinction in historical work. He was one of the chief editors of the Cornell Magazine. After graduation he accepted a reporter position on the New York Tribune and later a similar post on the Rochester Post Express. He followed with positions on the New York Press, papers in Syracuse and purchased the Fayetteville Recorder in June 1891 from A. W. Wilkin.
He married Miss Lillian Frances Weed of Baldwinsville on June 9, 1893. They had a daughter, Elizabeth.
