Robert T. Parish, 94, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Robert was born May 31, 1916, in Winnfield, La. Dr. Parish was named after his grandfather, Rev. Robert T. Parish, an early Methodist Circuit Rider of Louisiana. Dr. Parish helped preserve the Civil War diary of his grandfather. He was a 32nd degree Mason and practiced dentistry in the U.S. Navy for three years, continuing his practice in Fort Worth for 40 years. He enjoyed all kinds of sports, loved to water ski and was an avid golfer. Robert loved to oil paint and dove hunt. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline "Dell" Parish, in 2009; and one daughter, Donna Seals, in 2008. Survivors: Son, Robert T. Parish Jr. and wife, Rebecca; daughter, Laurie Killgore and husband, Bill; and grandchildren, Natalie Parish of Fort Worth and Monica Gambrell.
