BLUFFTON -- Rex W. "Bill" Ferrall, 85, of Bluffton, died December 3, 2010 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born October 19, 1925 in Benton Ridge, Ohio to August H. and Lulu Bell (Swihart) Ferrall. On August 28, 1949 he married Nettie Basinger and she survives.
Rex had been a salesman at A to Z Meats, Bluffton, Lima Packing Company and Wonderbread. He was also a farmer. Rex was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 382, Bluffton. He enjoyed being an amateur pilot and graduated from Mt. Cory High School. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include three daughters, Vickie (Richard) Little of Clarkston, MI; Nancy Ferrall of South Bend, IN; Cathy (Bill Stewart) Ferrall of Findlay, OH; a son, Michael (Sheryl) Ferrall of Chickaloon, AK; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ferrall; two sisters, Lodene Robinson and Evelyn Dabler; and two brothers, Gerald Eugene Ferrall and Richard Ferrall.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. Rev. Eric Rummel officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.
