Born Oct. 27, 1921, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Earl Rephann and Daisy (Shannon) Rephann. He was also preceded with death by his wife, Shirley Alyce (Geary) Rephann; and one daughter, Karen Rephann.
He was a graduate of Beall High School. Mr. Rephann worked at the Western Maryland Railroad as a machinist until he stopped to care for of his sick spouse. He also worked at Vitro Laboratories in Silver Spring as a welder and then at Litton Industries in College Park.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the US Air Force, where he handled radar on planes and ships.
He is survived by one daughter, Valerie Jean Rephann, of LaVale; one sister, Betty Oram, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Mark Weiland, who was like a son.
There will be no visitation.
The committal services will be conducted in the chapel at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Monday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gene Riffey officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by Post 13 of the Veterans Honor Guard, Cumberland.
