"Alfreda, the nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Palmer of Richmondville, died at the Albany hospital Saturday, April 19th, after an illness of over four months. Last January she was taken ill with appendicitis and was operated on at the Parshall hospital at Oneonta. When nearly recovered from the operation she contracted rheumatism of the heart and was very ill until death came. She was a very happy child, always bringing sunshine to the home where she will be greatly missed by her parents who survive. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth, and one brother, John Jr. The funeral services were held from the home at Richmondville Tuesday at 2 p. m. Rev. L. T. Dawe of the M. E. church officiating.
