Harry L. Day died yesterday at the home of a brother, Elmer W. Day, 210 Gordon Ave., Hillcrest, with whom he made his home.
He was the son of William S. and Hannah M. Day, and was born and raised in Brandywine Hundred. A bachelor, he had retired from the Coast Guard in 1951. He was a charter member since 1908 in Hillcrest Memorial Church.
Besides his brother, Elmer, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna M. Callahan, Collins Park, and two other brothers, William C. Day, Claymont, and Harvey J. Day, North Hills, and by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the James Mullikin Funeral Home, 27th and Market Sts., with the Rev. Paul E. Reynolds of New Castle Methodist Church, and the Rev. George W. Goodley of Hillcrest Memorial Church officiating. Interment will be in Newark Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening after 7 p.m.
