Susanne Kay Hammer, 34, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at the Liberty Hospital.
Ms. Hammer was born Aug. 30, 1964, in Excelsior Springs and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was preceded in death by her father, Berger Popejoy [sic], in 1994.
Her survivors include her mother, Zella Hammer, Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Jerry Hammer, California, and Jessie [sic] Hammer, Florida; two sisters, June McKnight, Independence, and Cheryl Pennel, Independence; and three nieces.
Graveside Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Prichard Chapel in Excelsior Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Royal Care Center.
