Funeral services for Mrs. Tena Dvorak 73, who died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Anna Marquiss in Marshalltown Sunday, July 27th were conducted from the Hrabak funeral Home in Chelsea by Theodore B. Hlubucek of Cedar Rapids, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, after which the body was taken to Cedar Rapids to be cremated Mrs. Dvorak had been in failing health for the past two years. Mrs. Dvorak was born April 26,1868 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Anna Pisvejc. At the age of 4 years she moved with her parents to a farm south of Elberon, where she grew to womanhood. In 1889, she was married to John C. Dvorak, who preceded her in death 28 years ago. There were no children , but Mr. and Mrs. Dvorak reared a nephew, J. F. Novak, who became an orphan at the age of 6 years. All of her life was spent in the Elberon vicinity. One brother, James E. Pisvejc and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Johnson and Mrs. J. F. Novak preceded her in death. She is survived by two sisters. Mrs. Anna Marquiss and Mrs. Ella Manatt of Marshalltown. Casket bearers were Carl, Albert and George Marquiss and J. F. Novak. Singers were Mrs. Lillian Heral and Mrs. Henrietta Seabrook of Cedar Rapids. Interment was in the National Cemetery near Vining.
