Historical Wyoming Sept. 1950, p. 1
start of information about 1805 purchase 1500 acres in town of Gainesville (this Historical Wyoming and Historical Wyoming, October 1955, p5). 1812 James Cravath and Lewis Blodgett erected grist mill at Hermitage. 1816 wed Betsey Blodgett (name the same as daughter that came in 1798 to Cortland county with him!) Died on trip while at Maumee Ohio, remains returned for burial on farm near Hermitage. About 1907 after death grandson remains transferred new cemetery at Hermitage. Historial Wyoming 1950 p. 33 corrects Harwinton spelling.
