J.H. Carstensen, the aged father of Mrs. P.S. Jansen of this place, died at the home of some of his children at Oxford Junction, Saturday morning. The body was brought to this place Sunday and the funeral services were held Monday morning from the residence of P.S. Jansen. Interment in Wyoming cemetery. Mr. Carstensen had not been sick very many weeks, but his age was against his recovery. He was a man who was respected for his strict integrity and strong character. He was well spoken of by all who knew him, and his demise will bring sadness to the family and their friends.
