Harold Chittick, 88, of Rt. 1, Rossville, died at 12.25 p.m. Sept 20, 1992, at Regency Place, Lafayette, where he had been a patient ten days.

He was born Sept. 25,1903, near Geetingsville. His marriage was on June 4, 1926, to Ethel Mae Evans, who survives.

A longtime Pyrmont resident, he was a member of the Pyrmont Church of the Brethren and was active in church government.

He was a farmer in Clinton and Carroll counties and also was a farm drainage contractor for 30 years.

He donated land for Camp Chittick, a Boy Scout camp.

Also surviving are two sons, Max Chittick of Rossville and Rex Chittick of Oxford; three daughters, Bonnie Cripe of Lowell, and Betty Metzger and Connie Wagoner, both of North Manchester; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, three brothers, and a sister.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bodine-Brown Funeral Home, Rossville, with Pastor Guy Studebaker officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Geetingsville Cemetery.
