Dr. Mary Neville Bielefeld, 61, a physician for the county and the city of Milwaukee for more than 25 yers, died of cancer at St. Marys hospital.
Dr. Bielefeld began working for the county in 1933 as the first woman intern at county general hospital. She retired as the district physician for the Milwaukee Health Department.
The Mary Neville Belefeld Aware was established in 1965 - an award presented annually to an alumna who has demonstrated outstanding loyalty to the ideas of Marquette
University.
