Mrs. Hosea E. Wild passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 1975. At the time of her death, she was 95 years, 2 months and 26 days old.

Rhoda M. Dobson was born in a sod house in Bennet Township, Fillmore County, Nebraska, on December 10, 1879.

Her parents were Richard and Harriett Dobson. She received her early training from her mother, a sincere Christian and ex-New England school teacher at a time when churches and schools were scarce in the county.

Her father, Richard Dobson, later a member of the state legislature, set an example of honesty she often recalled. She had two borthers and three sisters who predeceased her.

She was married to Hosea E. Wild on February 10, 1897. They lived on the farm south of Grafton homesteaded by Mr. Wild's father, Charles C. Wild.

After the death of her husband on July 10, 1950, she and her son, Edwin E. Wild and daughter, Agnes Wild, continued to live on said farm until Edwin's death on April 22, 1973. Thereafter, she and daughter Agnes lived on the same farm until her death.

She was an early member of Asbury Methodist Church, Bennet Township and later transferred her membership to the Geneva Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wild loved her home and her family. She also was quite devoted to pets. She was interested in reading and the activities of the farm. She was quiet and a kind and modest person.

She is survived by her daughter, Agnes Wild.

Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 1975, with Rev. John E. Stayton officiating. Mrs. Kenneth Prater sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Norval Lomax.

Pallbearers were Darrel Hughes, Harold Stevens, Marvin Dockter, Donald Battle and Robert Dean Lovegrove. Interment was in Grafton Cemetery.
