Funeral by Eld. J.B. Lord, his pastor. Interment in Hazlehurst cemetery.
"We bow in humble submission to an all Wise God who doeth all things well and tho we will sadly miss him we do not mourn as those without hope for he left evidence that he was numbered with the blessed. He was a faithful husband, a kind and loving father, a good neighbor, loved the doctrine of salvation by grace. Let us remember that he says and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye may be also. What a sweet thought that should be to all the family where there will be no more sorrows, sickness pain or death. He has fought this fight, he has won the victory and has reached the shining Grace."
