September 1st, Francis T. Chadwick, of Keyport to Eliza Bartlett, of Brooklyn.
Francis T. Chadwick ended his life at his home in Brooklyn on Tuesday by inhaling gas.
Mr. Chadwick was the son of Joseph Chadwick of this place and was born in Keyport. He was aged 60 years.
For a number of years he was an engineer of the steamer Holmdel. About twenty years ago he resigned his position and went to New York and accepted a position as engineer in the Equitable Life Insurance building which position he retained until about 3 years ago, when he retired from active duty.
Mr. Chadwick was a widower, his wife having died about six years ago. She was a Miss Bartlett of Brooklyn.
Mr. Chadwick is survived by one son and two daughter, all of Brooklyn. He leaves five sisters, Mrs. S.E. Terry of this place, Mrs. Nelson Magee of Brooklyn, Mrs Louisa Dudley of Brooklyn, Mrs. Emma Bramide of Red Bank, Mrs. John VanBrackle of Matawan, and four brother Bartine, Alonzo and Thomas of Brooklyn and James of Hoboken.
He also leaves two half-sisters, MRs. Emma Turrell of Old Bridge and MRs. Samuel Stryker of this place, and two half brothers, William and Fred Dudley of Brooklyn.
The body was brought here today (Friday) for internment in Green Grove Cemetery.
