Obit from the Normangee Star February 4, 1944 Vol XXXII #5 Mrs. Mollie McWhorter Called Home Mrs. Mollie McWhorter, aged 88, died in Houston at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sula Minter. The body was brought overland here on Thursday and interment was made in the Hopewell cemetery on Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. McWhorter was an old settler of Leon county. She leaves two sons and three daughters, and a large number of grandchildren and other relatives. A large group of relatives came from Houston, and a pastor of her son and fmily assisted Bro. Bullock and Elder Richard Holleman in conducting services at the grave.
She was buried beside her husband, Eddie McWhorter, who preceded her in death many years ago.
