Hamilton Co, IN and died Jan 7, 1971 in Lapel.
Horace Givens Dies Near Anderson
Lapel, May 20---Horace Dale Givens, age 61, R.R. 3, Anderson, a resident of this
community most of his life, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John's hospital in
Anderson following an extended illness. Mr. Givens was a member of the Lapel
Methodist church and the I.O.O.F. lodge at Lapel.
The body was removed to the McCarty and Fisher funeral home here and will be
taken to the family residence Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lapel Methodist church with the Rev.
Solomon Stoner of Pendleton in charge, assisted by the Rev. C.G. Cook of Lapel.
Burial will be in the Grovelawn cemetery at Pendleton.
Surviving are: the widow, Mary Annetta; two daughters, Mrs. Lester Dunham of
near Lapel and Mrs. John Montgomery of Lapel; one son, John, living at home; two
brothers, William [Willard] Givens of Washington, D.C. and Elmer Givens of
Middletown, and four grand children.
