Hezekiah Came to Nebraska as a depot agent for the Union Pacific Railroad, last working as a depot agent at Julesburg, Colorado.
He then farmed in Garden County Nebraska deciding to be come a homesteader, moved to the North Table, east of Broadwater, Morrill, Nebraska, where he and his wife Mary built a rock house and barn, in 1920 they moved to Loveland Colorado later to Boulder, Colorado, where he died in 1931
