Randy Bovey, 2 ½ year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bovey of Traer lost his fight with cancer and died in his home at 10 p.m. last Friday. Randy first became ill last spring and underwent surgery in March at Allen Memorial hospital. He was thought to be recovering until stricken again six weeks prior to his death. Funeral services were held Monday in the Erickson Funeral Home, in Traer with the Rev. C . Howell Bischoff officiating. Ruth Thomas was organist. Honorary pallbearers were Jay Wilson, David Wilson, Fred Wilson and Allan Bovey. Mrs. David Wilson and Mrs. Jay Wilson were in charge of the flowers. Interment was in Buckingham cemetery near Traer Randy, who was born April 20, 1956 in Waterloo, is survived by his parents, a sister Rebecca 6 and a brother Lanny 5 and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bovey.
