Rev. S. Bennington was a preacher in charge of the Evangelical Association of The Union Church of Manchester in York County, Pennsylvania, about 1860. He was a circuit riding preacher who served many areas; Loganville, Leesburg, Perry Circuit, Franklin Circuit, Hagerstown, Columbia, Buffalo, Liverpool, Boalburg, and Lycoming. In 1873 he relocated to West Virginia where he became a church pastor until his death.
