Born 20 January 1880 in Kane,McKean County,Pennsylvania;she was the daughter of James & Sarah Furi[sic] Hyde.
She was married in Ridgeway,Elk County,Pennsylvaniain April of 1902 to John Roger Hampson. She lived in Anita,Jefferson County,Pennsylvania until 1946,when at that time,she moved to San Francisco ,California;[where she lived briefly with her sister,Mary Helena Hyde Collins]. She later moved to Ogden,Weber County,Utah;where she lived with her daughter,Mr. James [Sally] Rodgers. Elizabeth died at her daughters home at 1604 Swan Street in Ogden after a lingering illness.

Following Elizabeth's marriage to John R. Hampson;the couple moved to the Punxsutawney,Jefferson county,Pennsylvania area. It was
there were they raised their children:
~ Anna Elizabeth,who married John J. Burns;
~ Sarah Ellsworth,who married the late George Stiglebauer and James Rodgers;
~ Mary;who married John T. Kunst
~ Roger Hyde Hampson,who died following his birth.
John and Elizabeth owned a large farm and a coal mine known as the Cortez Coal Company, located in Cortez,McCalmont Township,Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
