Eleanor Cooper McKinney, 93, of Noel, died February 9, 1994 at the home of her granddaughter, Cynthia Gooch.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane McKinney Campbell of California and E. Stuart Wilson, of Noel; son Charles Gilmore McKinney, of Ashland; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sallie Cooper Fiairman, of Annandale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Cecil Gilmore McKinney, USNA, 1921, and her parents, Philip and Eleanor Cooper of Annapolis, MD.
She was born March 7, 1900 in the U.S. Naval Academy.
McKinney was a member of the Magna Carta and Mayflower Societies. She was very active in the Fork Episcopl Church, forming their first Alter Guild.
She was president of the E.C.W. and active in maintaining an annual Christmas Bazaar.
A memorial service was held yesterday (Sunday) at Fork Episocpal Church, May 22, due to an ice storm, when the original scheduled service was postponed Feb. 13.
In lieu of flowers, please direct any gifts to the Fork Church Altar Guild.
