He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Sikeston, son of Charles H. and Ollie Lee Miller Alexander. He and Frances M. Duff were married Feb. 22, 1947, in Sikeston.
He worked at International Shoe Co. 20 years. He later owned and operated Dairy Queen and Sikeston Sewing Center.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Alexander; a brother, Hester Alexander; three sisters, Pansy Scharenborg, Violet Dreschell and Ollie Friedlander. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
