Obituary
Spanish Fork--Lewis Brunson, 68, a resident of Spanish Fork the past seven years and known in Utah county for his work as a stockman and horse trainer, died Tuesday morning at his home, 56 N. 2nd West, of a lingering illness.
He was born at Fillmore April 15, 1881, son of Seymour L Brunson and Annie Laurie Tompkins Brunson. He was educated in Fillmore schools. He married Avera Bennett in the Salt Lake temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in 1949[sic]. They were united in a civil ceremony Jan 22, 1915, at Fillmore.
Following their marriage they made their home at Meadow until seven years ago, when they moved to Spanish Fork.
Mr Brunson is survived by his widow; a stepmother, Mrs Bessie Brunson, Meadow; the following sons and daughters; Reed Brunson, Lynn Brunson and Mrs Luttie Joy Child, Spanish Fork; Alden Brunson, Delta; Theo Brunson, Oklahoma; Van[sic] Brunson, Arkansas; three sisters and one brother, Mrs Josie Day, Provo; Mrs Annie Day, Salt Lake City; Mrs Jane Christensen and Wells Brunson, Meadow, and 10 grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Claudin funeral home, Spanish Fork, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the home of Mrs Melvin Christensen in Meadow after 11 a.m. Thursday until time of services, which will be conducted by Melvin Duncan, bishop, at Meadow LDS ward at 1pm.
Burial will be in Meadow cemetery.
