Funeral services for Evelyn Albrecht, 89, of Rosenberg, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with the Rev. Dale Staggemeier officiating. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2007 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Evelyn was born Sept. 10, 1917 in Hallettsville, to Adolph and Julia Konvicka Berkovsky. She retired from Kroger Grocery Store after many years of service. Evelyn always looked forward to playing Bingo, Chicken Foot and Dominos with her friends at Cambridge. She went to be with the Lord March 16, 2007 in Rosenberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Albrecht Sr.; parents, Adolph and Julia Berkovsky; and sisters, Alma Kanak and Viola Muller.

Evelyn is survived by children: Marvin Albrecht and wife, Iris, of Wharton, Lee Wayne and wife, Linda Albrecht, of Rosenberg, Gerald Albrecht of Houston, Allan and wife, Carolyn Albrecht, of Richmond, Diane and husband, Daniel Polak, of Needville, and Donnie Albrecht and wife, Roxie Pranglin, of Canyon. She also is survived by grandchildren: Lisa Burger and husband, Henry, of Wharton, Troy Albrecht of Wharton, Kristin Huff and husband, Mike, of Houston, Gary Albrecht and wife, Kristen, of Rosenberg, Kimberly Hall and husband, Marc, of Richmond, Allison Albrecht of Irving, Brooke Plemons and husband, Josh, of Sugar Land, Scott Polak and wife, Kari, of Katy, Courtney Davis and husband, Terry, of Houston, Eran Feeley and husband, Mike, of Georgetown, and Harrison and Bailey Albrecht of Canyon; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Tanner Albrecht, Haley Burger, Cape Huff, Austin Albrecht, Nicholas Hall, and Sydney and Logan Plemons. She also is survived by sisters: Mary Buzek, Gladys Worthington and Leona Fagan, of Rosenberg; along with numerous nieces, nephews other family and many friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Maria Elena Edwards, Anna Wise, Jessica Morales, Janie Robles, all other caregivers and dedicated staff at Cambridge Square. Also special thanks to Odyssey Healthcare (Hospice).

Pallbearers are Troy Albrecht, Gary Albrecht, Scott Polak, Henry Burger, Mike Huff, Marc Hall, Terry Davis, Harrison Albrecht, Josh Plemons and Mike Feeley.
