Daughter of a former Dallas fire chief and wife of another, Mrs. Annie Maria Myers, 75, died Monday at her home, 5709 Columbia.
She was the wife of the late T. A. Myers, fire chief for many years who rescued the present chief, L. M. Funk, from the railroad shops and set him to work on a hook-and-ladder wagon. For a time, Funk drove Chief Myers' horse-drawn wagon. Her father, Thomas Wilkinson, one of the first chiefs, ran the department in the early 1890's. The Wilkinson family moved here from Cumberland, Maryland, her birthplace, in 1876. Services Wednesday. Burial will be in the family lot at Oakland Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter, sister, and a number of nieces and nephews.
