Mrs. Cathy Allen Richardson, age 49, died Sunday at her residence following a long illness. The Chatham County native moved to the Leefield Community at the age of 18. She was the daughter of the late Aaron and Alice Tucker Allen. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Marty Waters of Nevils; a sister, Cindy Allen Smith of Covington and a brother, Bobby Allen of Memphis, Tenn. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Eason officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklet City Cemetery. Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
