Contributed by FAG member Sue Lilley.------------------------------------THE LAMPASAS RECORD THURSDAY, JUNE 29, 1933 Mrs. Johnothan Mauldin Died Tuesday Mrs. Johnothan Mauldin, 61 years of age, died Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock in Kingsdaughters hospital in Temple whre she had been for treatment for a week. The body was brought to Lampasas Wednesday morning and carried to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Standard. Funeral services and burial were at the Center cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. A. C. Nance, Church of Christ minister of Lometa, conducting the services. Mrs. Mauldin was Miss Hanna Elizabeth Reeder before her marriage. She was born in Coryell county, but came with her parents to Lampasas county when a young girl, and lived in the Center community till about five years ago. The Mauldin family moved at that time to Round Mountain, near Johnson City, and that has since been their home. She was in failing health about a month before being taken to the hospital. Miss Reeder was married to Johnothan Mauldin March 23, 1892 and to this union were born eight children, all of whom, with the husband and father, survive. The children are Herbert Mauldin of California, Edwin Mauldin of Lometa, Winifred Mauldin of Round Mountain, Stafford Mauldin of Johnson City, Clyde Mauldin of Round Mountain, Albert Mauldin of Round Mountain, Mrs. Clyde Coble of Lometa, Mrs. Sam Crumley of Lampasas. She is also survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Angelina Reeder, of Center; three brothers and four sisters; Pat Reeder of Coke county, Don Reeder of Houston, Aaron Reeder of Lometa, Mrs. Mark Nance of Lometa; Mrs. Arl Hightower of Center, Mrs. Charley Nance of Stephenville, Mrs. Frank Rumbo of Van Zandt county. There are 14 grandchildren. Mrs. Mauldin was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Will Standard of this city.
