For some time Mr. Ashcraft had been ailing, but he was still able to be about. On Saturday morning he arose early feeling unusually well, eat his breakfast, and had been by the butchere and purchased some meat and brought it home, and set down on a chair when he fell over and expired in a few moments.
Mr. Ashcraft was a man very much respected for his integrity and sterling worth. He was a member of the M.P. Church.
