Jessie Nelson, 93, Walhalla, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, in Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla.
Jessie Alexandria Jane Smith was born June 26, 1903, the daughter of Alexander and Sarah (Blaisdell) Smith, in Walhalla, where she was a lifelong resident. She married Tom Simons in 1924. He died in 1928. She married George Nelson April 12, 1935, in Grand Forks. He died May 19, 1978.
She is survived by daughters, Loretta (Lawrence) Vondal, Mountain, North Dakota and Mary Worshek, Burnsville, Minnesota; sons, Frank (Irene) Simons, Troutdale, Oregon, and Wallace (Loretta) Simons, Walhalla; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bert, Walhalla.
She was preceded in death by a half brother, Roy Fadden; a stepsister, Isabell Schrader; and a granddaughter.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday in Park Center-Walhalla Presbyterian Church, Walhalla.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today in Nelson Funeral Home, Walhalla, and one hour before services in the church.
