Funeral services for J.B. Burton, fifteen year old son of Mrs. Claude Stalter, who was fatally shot at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Fair Park when a .22 rifle in the hands of Ike hart, thirteen, a companion, was accidentally discharged, were held Monday afternoon. Interment followed in the city cemetery.
The services were conducted by Rev. R.E. Connell, Methodist pastor.
The accident occurred while young Burton was playing with several companions. The bullet entered his chest and ranged downward. A.J. Wright, who lives nearby rushed the injured boy to the office of Drs. Hodge and Lain, but he died en-route to the office.
The deceased was born in Camden, Arkansas on July 14th, 1919.
