Mrs.Eva Avery,77,widow of Fred Avery,died Wednesday night at the local hospital after a long illness.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with the Rev.A.Allan Brough of Fairfield officiating. Friends may call at the home of her daughter Mrs Cyril Pooler,Corinna Rd., until the time of the service.
She was born May 30,1880 in Corinna,the daughter of Hartley and Lydia Chandler Fisher. She lived in Old Town and Veazie for about 25 years before coming to Dexter.
She is survived by three daughters,Mrs CyrilPooler of Cornnis,Mrs Florence Tyler and Mrs Ruby Towle,Jr,both of Dexter,A stepsister,Mrs Helen Roberts,Dexter,Two stepbrothers George Additon of Dexter and Mark Additon of Gardiner,six grandchildren and two grest grandchildren.
