Muriel L. Madison, 76, Roseburg, Ore., died Nov. 10, 2010, at Medcenter One, Bismarck, while visiting her daughter, Darcy (John) Lorentzen, Washburn, ND. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)
She attended Elkton schools where she met Kenneth "Bud" Madison, marrying him on December 19, 1951, while he was in the military service during the Korean War.
Besides raising a family, Muriel worked in retail sales at J.C. Penny's and Fred Meyer and at the Kellogg Tree Farm. She enjoyed "motorhoming" and she and "Bud" were "snow birds" traveling to southern California every winter for many years. Muriel enjoyed visiting family and friends and playing with her many grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Roseburg and Douglas of Springfield, Oregon; two daughters, Shelley Mehlhoff of Salem, Oregon, and Darcy Lorentzen of Washburn, North Dakota; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Muriel was looking forward to meeting her forth great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffery in 1972, her loving husband, "Bud" in 2001 and granddaughter, McKenzie Madison in 2002.
