Harrison B. Cave, Jr., lifetime resident of Dallas and the Park Cities, died peacefully in Dallas, Monday, November 22, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Harrison B. Cave, Sr., DDS and Regina Reis Cave, his first wife; Patricia White Cave, his second wife; Jo Crockett Cave, and his two children; Susan Cave Murski and Joe Bob Cave.

Born in Dallas on September 18, 1917, Harrison lived a long and fruitful life. His family arrived in a covered wagon from Missouri and built their first home in Dallas in 1894. As a member of an early, prominent family in Dallas, Harrison was witness to and participant in the city's rich history. A 1936 graduate of Highland Park High School, Harrison rarely missed an opportunity to attend a HPHS football game or the annual "Golden Scots Reunion." He enjoyed the company of his friends, many from as far back as elementary school, and his loving family. Harrison was quick to share a funny story or a warm memory. After high school, Harrison worked in the oil industry, establishing himself with Sun Oil Company, and later going in to business with family. He enjoyed many traditions with his family including the Annual Opening Day Dove Hunt. Harrison was a Master Mason of Highland Park No. 1150, a member of Skillman Avenue Church of Christ, the Dallas Country Club, and the Dallas Petroleum Club. When he was not enjoying the outdoors, or the cultural and social offerings of the city, he was traveling to every corner of the world. Harrison's love of travel and outdoor activities started during his days as a Boy Scout of America. With multiple opportunities to explore exotic places around the globe, his travels with troop #32, set him up for a lifetime of adventures. He recorded his 93 years of history in meticulous scrapbooks treasured by his family.

Harrison Cave was loved and will be dearly missed by his sister; Mary Cave Landry, grandchildren; Michael Cave Murski, Sarah Murski Williams, Meghan Cave Hunter, and his great-grandchildren; Lauren Elizabeth Murski, Harrison Andrew Murski, Gage Murski Williams, Hudson Wright Williams, Ivan Harrison Hunter, and James Anthony Hunter. Through his photographs, genealogy, and stories, Harrison has left a well documented history for future generations to examine, explore, and cherish for many years to come.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 5pm Sunday, November 28, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2pm November 29, 2010 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, The Stewpot of Dallas, or Skillman Avenue Church of Christ
