Joseph Greenhalgh, of Poughkeepsie, met his death while swimming in a lake at Roscoe, N. Y on Monday of this week. Heart trouble is thought to have been the cause of his death. Although he was stricken while swimming, he was not drowned, a doctor who was called, declared. After the body had been examined no water was found in either the lungs or stomach. Mr. Greenhalgh served in the World War as a cook in Company E. Second Pioneer Infantry, and saw service in France for over two years. Mr. Greenhalgh was thirty years old and during the winters had been a chef at Vassar College.
