Rosa Pearl (Metz) Byrd died March 19, 1988 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Pearl was born on May 24, 1927, in Calwood, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Daisy D. (Bollinger) Metz. She lived in Calwood and Fulton before moving to Kansas City, Missouri with her husband, Nollie Bob Sr. in 1955.
Survivors include her mother, Daisy Metz of Fulton, Missouri; three sons Nollie Bob Jr, Donnie J and Ricky G. Byrd; two daughters, Pearl Dean Ritterhoff and Jackie L. Pruitt all of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Belle Avery of Independence, Missouri and Dorothy Shankle of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Bobby Metz of Fulton, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nollie Bob Sr; her father Walter Metz and an infant son Roy Walter Byrd.
Interment in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
