Mrs. Alva Boak, 81, Boscobel, died Sunday morning at Memorial hospital after a long period of failing health. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Boscobel Methodist church, with Rev. Virgil Brown of Shullsburg officiating.
Casket bearers were all grandsons of Mrs. Boak. Burial was made in the Boscobel cemetery.
The former Mary A. Reynolds was a long-time resident of the Boscobel area. She and her husband had farmed in Crawford county before moving to Boscobel 18 months ago.
She is survived by her husband Alva; two daughters, Mrs. Fay Ostrander and Mrs. Harold Lathrop, Boscobel: two sons, Herman, rural Boscobel, and Emil, at home; a sister, Mrs. Wilford Snodgrass, rural Gays Mills; two brothers, Otis and Olen Reynolds, rural Boscobel; 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
