Clyde was the oldest of three sons born to Clyde Pinkney Sr. and Beulah Ann (Campbell) Lineberger. He was the father of one son Clyde Jeffory.

Mr. Clyde Lineberger, Jr., age 74, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday night, October 15, 2000 at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lineberger will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2000 from the sanctuary of Oakhurst Baptist Church, with the Reverend Bill Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Lineberger was born November 7, 1926 in Charlotte, son of the late Clyde Lineberger and Beulah Ann Campbell Lineberger, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Lineberger, of the home; son Clyde Jeffory Lineberger, and wife Sarah Katherine, of Lawrenceville, GA; two granddaughters, Nicole Lea Starnes and Kelly Jean Starnes, of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, Don Lineberger and wife, Goldie, and Bill Lineberger and wife, Edith, all of Charlotte. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
