Linda Gail Jacobs Franks, 58, a resident of Newport News, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at her residence.
Linda retired as a private duty L.P.N. in 1980 and was an assistant leader for the Girl Scouts of America, troop #1490.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Kenneth Franks; two children, Roger S. Luxford and Teresa Markley and her husband, John; three brothers, George Gary Jacobs, William E. Jacobs and Herbert L. Jones; five sisters, Teresa Fisk, Alice Smith, Donna Webb, Robin Jones and Gracie Fisher; and three grandchildren, Samantha Markley, Crystal Raynor and Darrin Comstock.
She was preceded in death by a son, John M. Themea.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
