Funeral service was conducted last Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Barnett's Funeral Chapel, Marion, with the Rev. George Musser and Elder Charles N. Tilson officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were James Colley, J. E. Eller, Bill Hanshew, Howard Parks, Ralph Robinette and Marvin Williams.
Mr. Anderson was a veteran of World War I. For 21-1/2 years he drove a Smyth County school bus in the Atkins-Groseclose-Marion area.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flora Barker Anderson; three daughters, Mrs. Robert W. Martin, Chilhowie, Miss Pauline Anderson, Atkins, and Mrs. Kenneth A. Salmon, Washington, D.C.; a son, John C. Anderson, Salem; three sisters, Miss Bessie Anderson, Atkins, Mrs. Orlean Martin, Rugby, and Mrs. Iva Parker, Cincinnati, Ohio, and four grandchildren.
