The past year of his life he has been in failing health and for three weeks has been confined to his bed at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wayne Kerr, by whom he was tenderly cared for.
Besides his daughters he leaves to mourn nine grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Mary Loofborrow of Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. Sarah Grieves of Tonopah, Nevada, Mrs. Allie Kisling of Stockport, Iowa; and four brothers: Joe and Jim of Mt. Zion, Iowa, Ed of Birmingham, Iowa, and Charles having preceded him in death. He is also survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Syfert.

Funeral services were held from the John Kerr residence Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Coppie in charge.
