KIDD, Emma Katherine Adams, 62, Lakeside Court, Somerset, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at her residence.
She was born May 13, 1942, in Garrard County, daughter of the late Milton and Addie Mae Tankersley Adams.
She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Somerset. She was president of the Eagle's
Nest Ladies Golf Association. She was the first female to make a hole in one at Eagle's Nest Country Club and
a board member of Eagle's Nest Country Club. She was also a member of the Central Kentucky Golf Association
and Lake Cumberland Ladies Golf Association. An avid gardener, she coordinated the gardens in and around the
Eagle's Nest area. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Phillip Kidd, whom she married June 25, 1961, in Stanford;
three daughters, Sherri Kaye (and Jim) Smith, Stanford, and Patricia Lynn (and Shelby) Mayfield and Rhonda Denise
Kidd, both of Somerset; a brother, Donald Adams, Stanford; six grandchildren, Kinsley Huff, Somerset, Brittany Smith,
Stanford, Brandon Mayfield, Somerset, Ryan Miller, Somerset, Tanner Smith, Stanford, and Sara Walker, Somerset; a niece; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, J.W. "Dub" Adams. Funeral services were. 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Somerset First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Cole officiating.
Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery. Friends called at Somerset Undertaking Company after 6 p.m. and at
the church after 9 a.m. Monday until time for services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or
