Dorothy "Dottie" Landrum Jones Garrett, 82, of 1164 Pendleton Street, widow of Alvin Robert Garrett, died Sunday, December 31, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Sarah Barker Landrum.

Mrs. Garrett was retired from the Open Hearth Steak House and was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Dana G. Guthrie of Greenville; three sons, Charles Alvin Jones, II of Richton, Miss., David Robert Garrett of Taylors, Steven Alan Garrett of Liberty; two sisters, Vivian Landrum of Easley, Patsy Tate of Greenville; two brothers, Clarence L. Landrum, Jr. of Anderson, Curtis A. Landrum of Simpsonville; a sister-in-law, Doris Landrum Frady of Powdersville; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Landrum.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
