L.E. Dixon Coile, 82, of 2228 Transco Road, died Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at the Comer Health Care Center in Comer, Georgia.

Mrs. Coile was born in Elbert County, September 13, 1919 daughter of the late John H. and Drucie Mae Lunsford Dixon. She was a homemaker and member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Joe Alson Coile.

Survivors include: Son, Mike A. Coile, Comer; Daughter-in-law, Karen Atkinson Coile, Comer; Brothers, Joe Thomas Dixon, John Wesley Dixon and Wilburn Dixon, all of Greenwood, South Carolina, Glenn Dixon, Elberton, Frank Dixon, Ralph Dixon and Gene A. Dixon, all of Comer, and Doris C. Dixon, Danielsville; Sisters, Jeanette Coile, Comer, and Bessie Ruth Simmoms, Danielsville; Several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Coile was preceded in death by a son: Joe Allen Coile; and by sisters: Virginia Mae Dixon and Geneva Martin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Coile will be 3 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2001 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darvin Cash and Rev. Clint Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Thursday night. The family is at the home of Karen A. Coile, 2318 Transco Road, Comer, Georgia.

Flowers optional memorials may be made to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Dean Andrews, 2674 Transco Road, Comer, Georgia 30629.
