COMER – Griff Allen Coile, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Born in Comer on October 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Plummer Coile. He was a heavy equipment operator, having worked with Nunnally Construction and was a United States Army Veteran. A son, Gerald "Jerry" Coile, preceded Mr. Coile in death.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Parham Coile, Comer; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Johnny Manning, Lexington; grandchildren, William Jackson Manning and Samantha Elizabeth Manning; and a brother, Jack Coile, Comer.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 31, at 3:30 p.m., at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brett Mask officiating.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, January 31. The family is at their respective homes.
