He received his schooling in the Bland rural school and grew ot young manhood in that community.
On Jan 5, 1916 he was united in marriage to Miss Mabel Branson at Bland by Rev. C.A. Neumeyer and nine children were born to this marriage. They made their home in Gasconade County, until 1927 when Mr. Schuenemeyer was employed by the Shell Pipe Line and the family moved to Union where they have resided since.
Mr. Schuenemeyer was from a family of seven boys and five girls.
Since 1936 he had been a member of the First Christian Church of Union.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, also by a daughter, Helen, in infancy.
Those who survive are his wife, Mabel Schuenemeyer, two daughters, Laverne Ingram of Ballwin, and Alice Becker of Pacific; six sons, Raymond of Pacific; Clifton, Marvin and Norman of Union; Irwin of Louisville, Ky.; and Geroge of Bearufort; two sons-in-law, Own Becker and Melvin Ingram, six daughters-in-law, 38 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sophia Humfeldt of Bland; Clara Sorrell of St. Louis, and Nora Richardson of Owensville; five brothers, Fred Schuenemeyer of Colorado; Charles of Iowa; Walter of Richland, John and Albert of Owensville, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
After resting at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, funeral services were held on Friday, March 16, at 1:00 p.m. from the First Christian Church of Union by Rev. Glenn Hull. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery at Bland.
