Obituary:

Mrs. Carrie Francis Thompson, last surviving child of James H. and Elizazbeth Noftsinger Francis, died at the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert S. Sprinkle, Sr. with whom she had made her home for the past several years, on October 10.

She leaves five sons, Harry of Washington, D.C., Dan and Dick of Cleveland, O., Roy and Olin of Cincinnati and a number of grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Thompson was a lifelong member of the Methodist church. In addition to belonging to one of the original families of Marion, her father was editor of the county paper at his death.

In 1900 she was married to H. N. Thompson.

The services were conducted at the Seaver Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, and the pallbearers were Stuart and Lewis Sprinkle, Albert, Walter and Dr. David Francis, and her grandson, Kasper Krawer of Cincinnati.

Mrs. Thompson was very fond of Marion, and was laid to rest, as was her desire, in Round Hill Cemetery.
