Son of David R. and Nannie Goodner Carmack. He married Joyce M. Fryar, daughter of Porter L. and Dora Kirk Fryar, on July 28, 1960 in Montgomery Co., Arkansas. They were the parents of one son.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Carmack; and his sister, Lois Abernathy.

After working many years for the Hot Springs Rehab, Buddy found his true calling as official school bus greeter for the kids on Anthony street. First with his grandnephew, then with his grandchildren. He was a member of Church of Christ, Airport Road.

He received a Masters Degree from Henderson State College and was a United States Army Veteran. Buddy touched many lives in many ways, from pranks and tricks to a helping hand or a gentle voice to guide you through a trying time.

Buddy is survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
