Edward Gatewood Bosserman, 60, died 10:45 a.m. Friday (July 27, 1973) at his home, 18 N. Madison St. His death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.

A native of Middlebrook, he was born June 11, 1913, a son of Charles and Betty (Moneymaker) Bosserman. Mr. Bosserman was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific. For many years, he was a driver for City Cab, retiring in October 1972 because of his health.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Daisy (Vines) Bosserman; two daughters, Mrs. Dreama Shields of Newport, R.I., and Miss Neta Bosserman, at home; one son, Keith Bosserman, at home; one stepson, Thomas N. Vines of San Diego, Cal.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Sterling S. Shields of Alexandria; one brother, William C. Bosserman, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Driver, both of Staunton; one grandson, and two step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of the Fred Henry Funeral Home by Mr. David L. Chandler, minister of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be E. C. Eutsler, Weldon D. Michael, George Swisher, Hubert C. Sweet, Cecil M. Jones, Elmer F. Markley and W. J. Landes.
