Bonnie Helmberger, 79, died Wednesday, Nov.17, 2010, at home in Fort Morgan. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Saint Helena Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium.
She was born March 27, 1931, near St. Bernard, Neb., to Isabelle Schaefer and Frank Albracht. She was the youngest of 14 children.

A partner in her husband's photography business, Gene's Studio, she worked with him for many years until retirement in 1990 when they began to travel together.

Mrs. Helmberger enjoyed her family, friends, quilting, cooking, playing bridge, golf, and socializing.

She is survived by her four children, Diana Noonan of Denver, Richard Helmberger of Highlands Ranch, Jane Shur of Littleton, and Amy Bricker of Colorado Springs; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Gerri Schmidt of Columbus, Neb., Darlene Korus of Lindsey, Neb., Bill Albracht of Broken Bow, Neb., and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Helmberger; seven sisters and three brothers.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative care of Northern Colorado in care of Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave, Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
